Mr. Pivaral,

I just wanted to let you know how much your performance meant to my granddaughter’s and myself. I’m sending this picture because I know you see so many people that you may not remember what girl I’m referring to in this letter.

I lived in Las Vegas for 18 years and have seen a lot of shows and I know that several of the shows include the audience in the same fashion that yours did. This was a first for both of my granddaughters so I did not tell them anything about the show so that they could get the fullest experience possible. To say the least the show delivered above and beyond their expectations. Especially for Brittney. The girls come from a broken home living part of the week with one parent, the other part with the other and with me whenever they can. Brittney is the middle child and feels she is always living in her big sister’s shadow and towers over her baby brother who is all of six and everyone gushes over. She sometimes gets lost in the shuffle, so when you singled her out she felt center stage and what a boost to her ego that was. And to acknowledge her throughout the show you went the extra mile with her. You gave her a lifetime memory. I cannot thank you enough.

My hope was to take the girls away from the drama of their everyday lives and do fun things they had never done, they were not disappointed. Sister Ashley enjoyed the show as well and she was really fond of Raven’s antics. The show had special meaning for me on a different level. As I said I lived in Vegas for 18 years and for their mothers 18th birthday I gave her two tickets to the Cirque du Soleil. To this day she still talks about it. At the time the show cost too much to get anymore than two tickets. I couldn’t see the show with her but seeing a similar show with Ashley and Britt was worth the wait and I always did hate the crowds in Vegas. I hope you guys do get a permanent place in Branson. I’m looking forward to my next trip there and the girls have already asked me to take them again.

Please don’t ever take that out of your act. You never know how much you may touch a young person’s life in such a positive way.

Thanks for allowing me the chance to try and convey to you what words often cannot express.

Rock and Roll History is still a popular subject! The surprise hit of the new Righteous Brother Bill Medleys’ show is an “Unplugged” story-telling segment based on the Righteous Brothers career. The show gets very personal in the second half when Bill, McKenna, and his band perform an acoustic set in a living room type setting while Bill shares with the audience stories that are truly a part of Rock and Roll history.

“I saw their (Bill and McKenna Medley) show on June 10th and couldn’t get over how good they looked and sounded. The second half was all new to me. It was phenomenal. Don’t Miss them!” – Mr Andy Williams

“Without a doubt, the best part of the show is the ’storyteller’ section that dominates the second half.” – Joshua Clark – Entertainment Editor – Branson Tri-Lakes News

Grammy Award winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Righteous Brother Bill Medley along with his daughter McKenna appear this year at the Starlite Theatre in Branson, MO. Hits include,” Soul and Inspiration”,” Unchained Melody”, “Time of My Life”, Rock and Roll Heaven and the most played song in the history of American Radio, ‘Lovin Feelin”.

Righteous Brother Bill Medley is appearing this year at The Starlite Theatre in Branson, Missouri through December 18, 2010. The Starlite Theatre seats 840 guests and features Branson’s only five-story glass atrium with 19,560 feet of glass. Tickets are on sale now, call the Starlite Theatre 417-337-9333 or online at www.starlitetheatre.com.

Bill’s voice wafted through the curtain as it opened with “Singing My Song to You”. “Ready, Willing, and Able” was a moving and upbeat song that displayed the talents of the drummer, Gabe Rabben, and the Keyboardist, Tim Lee. “Soul and Inspiration” was performed by Bill and his tremendously talented band. Everyone on the stage have excellent voices and it is proved by the end of the second half. “Rock and Roll Heaven” was sung as a dedication to Bobby Hatfield, the other Righteous Brother that we lost 6 years ago. Michael Grimm, lead guitarist, sang Bobby’s part quite nicely. On the original “Unchained Melody” was a Bobby Hatfield gem. I loved hearing it again. McKenna Medley, Bill’s daughter, joined him for the giant hit “I’ve Had the Time of My Life”. McKenna has an extremely good voice and a delight to hear. They sing so well together. McKenna sang a few songs by herself. She is a knock-out gorgeous young lady. She sang “Just Like a Woman”, “The Letter” by the Boxx Tops, “Blue Moon of Kentucky” with a fascinating arrangement that got me attention. Michael Grimm joins her on a duet “You Don’t Know Me”. I am glad that Bill allows those two to sing together. Bill, Michael and Bobby Gulley, the bass guitarist, sang a song “Lovin’ Arms”. They were very good. McKenna sing “Lean On Me”, a song that is always well received. Bill ends the first half with “Love Keeps Lifting Me”. The second half was a beautiful display of musical talent that was enjoyed by the entire audience. Bill told us that he toured with the Beatles and left the tour to do “Shindig” on TV. Bill wrote “Old Friend” about the loss of a great friend, Elvis Presley. McKenna sang “You Oughta Be Here With Me” from the Broadway play “Big River”, composed by Roger Miller. Bill and his band sang “Please Help Me I’ve Falling”. When Bill and his band sing, it reminds me of the best church choir you have ever heard. The drummer used a cohone. I have seen that instrument played before but this one could be the best. Of course I was sitting right in front of him and I watched him. Bill and Bobby sang “Since You’ve Gone”. It was great and I was glad to hear it. The lighting on the 50’s segment of the show was exceptional. They sang “Blueberry Hill”, Little Richard’s “Having Some Fun”, “Jailhouse Rock”, “Peggy Sue”, and “Great Balls of Fire”. Bill sang a self penned song, “This Will Be The Last Time”. It was really a good song. Bill, Bobby, and Larry sing on Bill’s song. Larry Hanson was, the organist, keyboards, sax, mandolin player for the band. What a great performance! Bill and McKenna sang the most played song on the radio, “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’”. McKenna filled in nicely for her Uncle Bobby, who is applauding this concert in heaven. This band can sing and play anything extremely well. McKenna and Bill are tremendous. What a great National Star Show this is!

Barbara Fairchild moved to Branson in 1992 when she became a regular on the Mel Tillis Show. She started doing a Sunday Worship Service that year that continued for 9 years; at which time she and her husband Roy Morris begin performing on the road for 4 years. She has now returned to Branson to the Starlite Theatre every Sunday Morning at 10:00 A.M. for her Sunday Worship Service. There’s no Admission Charge. A loving offering is received. Come as you are, ready for Inspirational singing and sharing.

Barbara’s Bio
Since 1992 Barbara, along with her husband, Roy has conducted “The Sunday Morning Worship Service” here in Branson. They have inspired thousands of visitors from across the United States. The many testimonies of the life changing affect Barbara and Roy have had on many of their lives is a testimony of their powerful love for God and the people they meet.

The special “Tribute to Veterans” Service held during the Veteran’s Homecoming Week always has the largest attendance of the year. Veterans affectionately gave her a name that she cherishes, “The Veteran’s Sweetheart.” Roy and Barbara share a strong love and commitment to work tirelessly for veteran’s causes and passionately state their feelings, “We owe it to our Veterans to honor them and let them know we haven’t forgotten the sacrifices they made. We have to pass this knowledge on to our younger generations. Our heritage is a sacred gift that must be cared for or it will be lost.”

Barbara Fairchild began her career in country music at the age of 15. Her #1 hit, “The Teddy Bear Song topped the charts in 1973. She has been nominated twice for the prestigious Grammy Award, once for her “Teddy Bear Song” and also “Lullabye For Teddy” in the Children’s Category. In addition to her career in country music, Barbara has also had a successful career in Gospel Music. She has been recognized in the southern gospel music field with songs such as “Could You Walk A Mile” and “Turn Right and Go Straight,” from her debut album, “The Light.” She then became part of the group, “Heirloom” with Candy Hemphill Christmas and Tanya Goodman Sykes. The groups beautiful voices were critically acclaimed in such albums as “Apples of Gold” and “Uncommon Love.” On August 12, 2003 Barbara realized a long time dream along with two of her best friends in Country music when she, along with Sharon White and Connie Smith joined Sharon’s husband, Ricky Skaggs who produced their album, “Love Never Fails.” “It doesn’t get any better than that for me,” says Barbara.

Every once in a while I see a show in town that makes me wonder why there aren’t “sold out” signs flashing out front and people lined up around the block to get in.

On Wednesday night, I went to see Bill Medley at his new digs inside the Starlite Theatre, and about halfway through the show, I began having those very thoughts.
You see, I’m a guy who has a strong connection to music in relation to a certain person place and time. Thanks to a video retrospective at the beginning of the show, followed by the performance of some of his greatest hits, I realized that I was watching the man who sang several of the songs that I would have to include in the soundtrack of my life.
Medley was one half of one of the group responsible for the most-played song in the history of radio, according to BMI, which has collected such data for artist royalty payment purposes since 1939. Along with his partner, the late Bobby Hatfield, “The Righteous Brothers” tune “You’ve Lost That Lovin Feelin” has been played more than eight million times. The duo was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003. That’s right loyal readers, a full-fledged member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame playing right here in town.
Medley is known for hits like “Unchained Melody”, “I’ve Had The Time of My Life,” “Rock and Roll Heaven” and one of my personal favorites “Friday Night’s A Great Night for Football” from the Bruce Willis flick “The Last Boy Scout.”
Medley is entering his fifth season in Branson, but his first carrying a two-hour show all alone having previously been paired with Paul Revere and the Raiders. I love Paul Revere and guys, so this is not a knock against them, but this is by far the best Bill Medley show I’ve seen over the past five years. If you haven’t seen him at the Starlite Theatre, you really haven’t seen Bill Medley.
The first 20 minutes of the show Medley shows he still has his soulful voice, belting our several “Righteous Brothers” hits, as well as a few of his own Unlike most shows where the performers wait to give you their biggest hits, Medley gets a big chunk out of the way early, paving the way for show full of talented people to shine, as well.
Having seen the show last year, I already had the pleasure of hearing his daughter, McKenna Medley. She was great last year but this 23-year old has really stepped it up this season.
Her version of the Bob Dylan classic “Just Like A Woman” may be as good as the original.
After Dylan, l she made another classic tune her own by covering Joe Cockers’ version of the “Box Tops” tune “The Letter.”
Without a doubt, the best part of the show is the “Storyteller” section that dominates the second half. Bill Medley sits behind a keyboard the entire band joining him at the front of the stage ad tells the stories behind some of his favorite songs stories about touring with a little group known as ”The Beatles,” and how the Righteous Brothers” got their name.
Plus, the way he interacts with the crowd, it is very easy to see why the man has been performing for nearly 50 years.
I really think that this is the beginning of Medley making a legitimate claim of being the “Must See” show in Branson. It is now at the top of my list as far as show I’ve seen this season and I know I am going to spread the word.

The constant presence of timeless voices is why The Starlite Theatre has emerged as one of Missouri’s elite live entertainment venues. With a full season of iconic acts on the schedule, the Starlite Theatre specified the Meyer Sound JM-1P arrayable loudspeaker as the heart of its new system.

With Bill Medley, the Platters, and more slated to appear throughout the summer, the Starlite sought a solution that would provide superior sound with extremely even coverage throughout the 880-capacity rectangular theater. “We performed competitive sound checks against several other sound systems, and none of them could compare with what Meyer Sound could do,” says John Ghirardelli, Managing Partner for the Starlite Theatre. “The JM-1P allowed us to balance the entire room so that no matter where you’re sitting, everybody hears the same level, tone, pitch and resonance — there are no dead spots. We knew that the JM-1P would be something special, and it’s been everything we hoped it would be, from sonic characteristics to space savings.”

Ghirardelli worked closely with Meyer Sound’s Bob McCarthy to ensure that the Starlite’s new system would satisfy not only its audiences, but also the exacting standards of Medley (The Righteous Brothers), who will be in residence at the venue throughout 2010. A point-source loudspeaker with exceptional size-to-power ratio, the JM-1P is hung three per side at the Starlite, along with two UPJ-1P VariO loudspeakers per side. Three UPJ-1P delays and a Galileo loudspeaker management system complete the powerfully streamlined setup.

“We hung the JM-1Ps fairly high to get maximum throw to the back,” McCarthy notes. “One of the favorable aspects of the JM-1P is the gentle underside, which
allows for listeners who are -on paper – located ‘outside’ of the coverage to be covered very well indeed.”

The self-powered design of Meyer Sound loudspeakers also helped change the game at the Starlite Theatre. “Previously, we had to have an amplifier for every two speakers that we were using,” Ghirardelli says. “Switching to the Meyer Sound system allowed us to take out seven amplifiers, so there’s a great aesthetic appeal for the audience without a barrage of wires. At the sound board, everything becomes more easily adjusted and controlled, because the amplifiers are at the source.”

In a business where word-of-mouth is the most valuable advertising, the Starlite Theatre is confident that their Meyer Sound system will help give crowds something to tell their friends about. “What we’re looking for is customer satisfaction,” says John Ghirardelli. “With this Meyer Sound system and our performers, our audiences can’t help but have a great experience.”
